TV? - 40" high definition flat-panel LCD widescreen TV with DVD/VCR/CD/Hi-Fi system.

Upstairs - two bedrooms (there are some 7 steps up to the bedrooms/bathroom).

Master bedroom with KING SIZE bed (also with flat-screen TV and digital set-top box) and second bedroom with twin single beds.  The bedrooms share a country-style bathroom.  Dorma windows in each bedroom overlook the secluded heritage gardens of the property.

Fine bed linens, selection of pillows, bathroom amenities all provided.

Fully equipped kitchen, crockery, cutlery and utensils to cook for four persons.  Four burner gas stove with oven, microwave, dishwasher and full-size fridge (not a kitchenette).

Dining setting for two or four.

Room servicing for the Gate Cottage is included mid-stay for stays of 7 days or more. For stays less than 7 days, room servicing is  available (at extra cost) on request.  See our Tariffs page for details.

Climate controlled.  Reverse-cycle heating-cooling air-conditioning in all rooms. A hotel-style personal combination safe in the master bedroom.

A pristine sandy beach is just 100 metres from the back gate (direct access to the beach).  Relax in the 2 acres of very private heritage gardens.  There's shady trees, secluded corners and sun-drenched lawns. It's another world at Glen Isla House.

Very private and separate from other guest accommodations.

Please note: 

The Gate Cottage is offered for a 2-night minimum stay period at all times. Special rates for weekly occupancy (7 nights) - excluding special event weekends.

There is no laundry in the Gate Cottage.  Laundrette facilties are available in the township (10 minutes away).

Off-street parking (inside the grounds)

Secure off-street parking (inside the grounds), right next to the cottage.

The perfect escape for a couple seeking seclusion and privacy, or two couples travelling together.

We advise that the facilities are not suitable for younger children.  

The second bedroom is usually made-up as two single beds, but with 48 hours notice, we an have housekeeping make this into a King Bed.

Self Cater

We offer the Gate Cottage on a self-cater - self-provision accommodation only basis.  We provide Tea/Coffee, milk and sugar etc so you can have a cuppa on arrival!

There are two good supermarkets (with attached wine shops) nearby in Cowes for provisions.

This is a real kitchen! (fully equipped - not a kitchenette) and typically has all the general condiments you'd expect if you were planning to cook.

Just move-in and relax....

Breakfast?

Why not enjoy your breakfast on the cottage veranda overlooking the gardens!  If you don't fancy bringing your own, there are numerous cafe's in Cowes that offer breakfast selections- some overlooking the seaside. 

Please Note: The Glen Isla main dining-room is reserved for B&B guests staying in our historic Anderson Heritage Suite and Glen Isla Classic Rooms.  

If you would like accommodations offering our special breakfast, we recommend you consider our deluxe Glen Isla Classic Rooms, or the historic Anderson Heritage Suite.  Our special dining room breakfast is offered and included in the tariff for these hosted accommodations.

Lunch & Dinner?

With a full kitchen, you could cook! On the other hand you could order-in from the take-away food stores in Cowes, or stroll down to the the seaside village of Cowes with shops and restaurants (a 20 minute walk)

Check with your hosts for advice on local restaurants.  The menus are available to peruse or make a reservation.
