Glen Isla House is a purpose-architected luxury retreat, set in the grounds of the historic Glen Isla Homestead (c1870). It offers old-world country-house ambience and charm, with fine surroundings and excellent heritage garden vistas.

Glen Isla "classic" rooms are located in the main purpose-architected guest accommodations, along with the guest lounge & dining room.

Private facilities.  All our Glen Isla classic rooms have modern private en-suite facilities (with shower), individual climate control heating/cooling air conditioning, refrigerator (which is not a mini-bar), tea/coffee making facilities, iron/ironing board, bed-side clock radio, electric blankets, and hair-dryer.

We offer widescreen 48cm LCD flat panel TV with digital free-to-air DVB television, satellite movie channel, satellite international news channel and integrated DVD/CD players in all our Glen Isla 'classic' rooms.

A hotel-style personal combination safe is provided in all rooms for peace of mind to secure guests’ valuables.

The six classic guest rooms all have a spacious walk-in dressing/luggage/utility room with wide luggage rack and generous apparel hanging space. This room also houses the refrigerator, and tea/coffee making facilities.

In the main guest lounge living area (always open to guests), a log-fire, newspapers/magazines  and satellite television with large 42" plasma widescreen panel.

As of early 2007, our guest rooms feature Molton Brown of London exclusive guest room toiletries.

Absolute Privacy

Separate entrances from the deck veranda to each Glen Isla room offer privacy to come and go as you please. Glen Isla 'classic' rooms enjoy unlimited views of the heritage gardens from the deck veranda (as in the photo of the Green Room left). Outside your door, elegant table and chairs to relax and soak up the ambience of the extensive heritage gardens over a magazine and perhaps a glass of wine while watching the sunset.

Each room has been individually decorated and furnished by a leading Melbourne interior designer. No clutter - just elegant surroundings and carefully chosen furnishings!

Five rooms feature supremely comfortable queen-size beds.  They include the Green Room, The Blue Room, The Gold Room, The Oriental Room and The French Room. The English Rose room offers twin single beds.

Glen Isla is an adult retreat, accommodating a small number of guests to ensure privacy and unobtrusive personalised service by owners & hosts Ian & Madeleine. 

Guest rooms are quite separate from the owenrs/hosts accommodation, so guests have complete privacy.

Glen Isla classic rooms accommodate 2 guests only.  The facilities are not suitable for younger children. (We do not have roll-out or foldaway beds).  We welcome children 12 years of age or older.

Guests requiring accommodation for 3 or 4 persons might consider our luxury self-cater cottage - The Gate Cottage which has 2 bedrooms (a queen and a twin) and fully equipped kitchen, dining/lounge room. Alternatively we do offer single occupancy rates for Glen Isla classic rooms.

All our rooms and indoor areas are totally non smoking at all times.
