Phillip Island is accessible from the mainland by a substantial permanent three lane bridge of some 750 metres.

From Melbourne take the Monash Freeway (M1) and turn off onto the Cranbourne exit - South Gippsland Highway (M420), and follow this to the Bass Highway (A420) which leads to San Remo.  Follow the signs to Phillip Island.

Once across the bridge, follow the main road (B420) into Cowes.

Turn left at the 3rd roundabout (Church Street) and 1.5 km to the west, on the right hand side, you'll see the gates to Glen Isla at 230-232 Church Street.  Look for the long high white fence of Glen Isla and the elegant overhanging sign on the gate "Glen Isla House"

Our GPS location coordinates are S38 27.064  E145 13.184

(Please note, the Glen Isla Apartments/Motel - next door to Glen Isla House (at #234) - is a separate business with separate ownership, management and facilities not associated with Glen Isla House in any way).

Drive time from Melbourne CBD - approximately 90-100 minutes.

Drive time from Melbourne International Airport - 2 hours

The original & historic Glen Isla is around 1500 meters from the main township of Cowes (shops, restaurants etc)

A pristine sandy (swimming) beach is just 120 meters away with direct access from the back gate of Glen Isla House.

The Penguins and Koalas are 10 minutes drive away, and the Grand Prix Circuit is also around 10 minutes drive from Glen Isla House.
